Featured Volunteer Opportunity
The Mountaineers is a club of volunteers and there are many ways for people to do their part to support the club. The Kitsap Branch has decided to feature a volunteer opportunity each month so that those who have the skills for the job can find their place to fit.
Wanted: Person or Persons to deliver GoGuides to outlets that serve the wider outdoor community.
Job Requirements: Pick up GoGuides from Kitsap Cabin and deliver them to Vertical World, Kitsap Sports, Sportsman’s Warehouse and Port Gamble Visitor and Convention Bureau. Delivery means take the GoGuides to the counter and hand them to the person there. Volunteers are encouraged but not required to seek out additional venues for GoGuide placement. We would especially like some place in South Kitsap.
Time Commitment: This is a monthly task that goes pretty quickly. It can be broken up and shared among several people; for example, North Kitsap, Central Kitsap and South Kitsap. An additional Bainbridge Island position would also be possible. If you can take on some or all of this job please use the contact information found below.

Kitsap Branch has a number of opportunities available for our members to help keep the branch functioning. There are volunteer opportunities that directly benefit the Kitsap Branch and opportunities that benefit the wider outdoor community. Some volunteer opportunities require a substantial investment of time, some require only a few hours. Opportunities can be as simple as providing cookies for a general meeting to as detailed as bringing to life one of the programs waiting to be started. Whatever your skills and abilities, however much time you have to spend there is a job you can do to help. A list of opportunities is available on the website and one is posted on the bulletin board on the front door of Kitsap Cabin. To volunteer please, e–mail branch@kitsapcabin.org or call 360–692–8822.

Volunteer Celebration Coming in Spring
The Branch is planning a celebration of all our wonderful volunteers for the spring. If you have ideas about how to make this a great celebration please share them with an executive committee member.
