January '08 Kitsap Branch Excom Meeting Minutes


01/8/08 Attendees: Steve Cain, Sue Diesen, Carol Lemon, Katha Winder-Miller, Greg Thies, Jimmy James, Christine Grenier,Tom Thrasher, Dave Burton

1. Subjects were discussed for a meeting with Eric Linxweiler;

2. Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Partnering: Jimmy James and Dave Burton will visit their representative by February 2 to find out their expectations. Then we can see if our committee chairs can provide something.

3. Promoting Courses in the Media: It was agreed to fund two adds in the Northwest Navigator targeting scrambling.

4. Trail Days in June: It was decided to ask Poulsbo Parks and Recreation if there is a particular trail that they would like to partner on with us and then advertise that in the local media.

5. Memorial Bench: Steve has committed to make this happen.

6. Branch Safety Officer: Each branch is supposed to have one and we need to know more and will discuss this with Eric Linxweiler.

7. General Meeting: Christine Grenier reported that the general meeting, February 11, will be held at the Norm Dicks Center at 7pm. The feature will be; “Being Caribou”. Free. Don’t miss it!

8. Conditioning: Christine announced that we have 4 new members.

9. Katha reported that we are following the Olympic Property Development management and mentioned some alternatives that they were looking at for the 7,000 acres under consideration.
